Ready is like the Central Perk of Limpertsberg. A home from home, where everyone from the neighbourhood (and their dog) congregates and where the baristas often know your order before you say it. It’s casual, it’s cosy and it has one of the best selections of homemade cakes in the country. Every day, they have various versions of their signature sponge studded with creative ingredients. They also have unbeatable croissants which strike a perfect balance between cushiony and crunchy. Last but obviously not least, the coffee… Ready serves specialty coffees from all over the world, including single-sourced filter coffees as well as more experimental cups (like golden turmeric or pink beetroot lattes).
Chique°Latte
As the name suggests, this upstairs-downstairs coffee shop on Rue de Bains is ultra-chic. They offer creative, chocolatey concoctions worthy of Instagram, often with all manner of sweet stuff piled on top of your drink. But they also offer proper, good coffee, even in the Arabic style, served using the traditional, ornate, silver apparatus. Each drink comes with one of their in-house signature chocolates and a special quote printed on a card. They also offer amazing açaï bowls, filled with colourful fruits and granola, and decorated with edible flowers. If all that is not enough, they are also purveyors of premium quality chocolate from around the world.
Knopes Artisan Torréfacteur
With various locations around the city (including Porte Neuve in the city centre and inside Come a la Maison) Knopes always has your back for a caffeine fix. They roast their own beans and prize themselves on quality.
