This post is for British expats in Lux.
British nationals ceased to be considered EU citizens on 1st February 2020. However, UK residents are still entitled to reside in Luxembourg during and after the end of the Brexit transition period. However, they are required to obtain a new residence document attesting that they are beneficiaries of the Withdrawal Agreement; this will replace the current residence permit.

1. APPLICATION FORM
Access the application form here.
Print it, fill it out and sign it then send it by post, with a copy of your passport, to the Direction de l’Immigration du ministère des Affaires étrangères et européennes.
2. BIOMETRICS
After a few weeks, you should receive a receipt of your application by mail. A few weeks after that you should receive an invitation to book a biometrics test. Using the link to myguichet provided in the email, book the test. Attend your appointment at the Direction de l’immigration on Route D’Arlon (red building). Take a physical copy of the invitation that was sent to you by mail, as well as your passport. They will take your photo and fingerprints.
3. COLLECT YOUR NEW CARD
Wait for your new card to be ready and make another appointment to collect it.
